AR Konzept | Apocalyptic Perspectives
AUGMENTED REALITY PROTOTYP
Augmented Reality Prototyp.
This project is an interactive location based augmented reality experience, located on the “Karolinenplatz” in Darmstadt. There is a real atomic bunker below the place. The user gets to see the virtual world installed there, an apocalyptic, post-atomic war scenario.
There will be six holes placed on the ground in augmented reality. The holes will only be visible through the smartphone/tablet of the user. Looking down into one of those holes the user gets to see what is happening below the ground in the bunker. People can walk around the place and dive into the world of the bunker. Every hole is showing a different section of the bunker. The actions seen in those sections are happening each at the same time.
The user gets the possibility to follow the different story arcs of the bunker people by walking around between the holes. The storylines intervene at some point in each arc, so you can switch your perspective if other events or characters arouse the users interest more. When approaching a hole, the volume of the audio is getting louder on that particular perpective. So when switching holes/perspectives the audio will fade from one scene to another on the way between them.
